Scandinavian Prints

Growing up with a connection to my Danish and Norwegian heritage has influenced me to cultivate a knowledge of these old world cultures. I find so much inspiration in traditional Scandinavian folk design, particularly Danish paper-cutting and Norwegian rosemaling. A trip to Denmark also provided me with lots of ideas. I was surprised to see how similar the landscape was to that of southern Wisconsin. It felt so familiar with it’s farm fields, holstein cows, and red and white barns.
